Sometimes we forget
I have been a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah for nearly 39 years now, so you would think that after all this time my faith would be perfected. I don’t mean that I should be perfect but that my faith would be. One would think that someone who has not only been a believer but also been a teacher for as long as I would have mastered the fine art of faith. Yet there are still days when I have to be reminded what faith is and what it means to trust in what Yeshua provided when he became a substitutionary offering for everyone who would believe.
This is not to say that my faith is not strong nor is it to say that I am in any way question who and what Yeshua is or how He fulfilled the prophecies, concerning the Messiah of Israel. My faith difficulties like many other people comes not in trusting what Yeshua did but in my putting too much trust in what I do.
It seems that the Galatians had a similar problem as we find in Galatians chapter 3:1-5 we read:
3:1 O foolish Galatians, who cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Yeshua the Messiah was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I want to find out just one thing from you: did you receive the Ruach by deeds based on Torah, or by hearing based on trust? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Ruach, will you now reach the goal in the flesh? 4 Did you endure so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing? 5 So then, the One who gives you the Ruach and works miracles among you—does He do it because of your deeds based on Torah or your hearing based on trust and faithfulness?
The issue the Galatians were having been the same as I have periodically, and I am sure it is the same as many of those reading this today. The issue of knowing that our redemption isn’t the result of our actions or our deeds of Torah, but it is based only on the work of Yeshua. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that because we have found faith in Messiah that we can now live in sin. After all, the same Paul that wrote Galatians also wrote Romans 3:31 where he said:
3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah through faithfulness? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah.
So this isn’t a matter of Torah opposing faith as if we have to either have faith, or we can follow Torah. Not at all. It is a matter of knowing that our failure to keep Torah perfectly cannot undo what Yeshua did for us. We only have to look just a few verses farther in Galatian 3 to find where Paul explains:
3:21 Then is the Torah against the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given that could impart life, certainly righteousness would have been based on law.
Paul clearly says Torah isn’t against the promises of G-D. He forcefully says, “May it never be!” But he also says that while Torah isn’t against the promise, Torah isn’t the promise. The promise is imparted life, which only comes through faith and not works. Because if righteousness could have come through the Torah, we would not have needed Yeshua. So if you are like me and periodically (as in sometimes daily) you stumble and fall, or saying a different way you still sin, please know that your righteousness doesn’t come from perfect obedience to the Torah. It comes from the one who was the promise of the Torah, Yeshua. So the good news is that because our redemption and righteousness aren’t based upon our works, then our redemption and righteousness isn’t based on our works. It works both ways. Today I am once again thankful that my redemption isn’t dependent on my perfection. It is based only and completely on Yeshua’s perfection.

PARASHAT SHEMINI (EIGHT)
VAYIKRA (LEVITICUS) 9:1–11:47
Have you ever wondered why God gave Israel laws regarding food in the Bible? In this week’s portion, we read God’s instructions to Israel with regard to the animals that they can eat and cannot eat. I personally find it very compelling, but sadly, it is often a great cause of division among us in the Body of Messiah. But I want to suggest that this does not need to be an issue, if we truly understand why God gave these boundaries to His people. In the end, it’s not really about the food. And let’s remember, Yeshua is the onlyway to salvation; God’s laws are tools for us to live abundantly — they are not in themselves a way for us to earn our salvation.
With that being said, let’s see what our Scripture portion says on this issue:
For I am the LORD your God. Consecrate (or sanctify) yourselves and be holy; for I am holy. And you shall not defile yourselves with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth. For I am the LORD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; thus you shall be holy for I am holy.
The greater meaning behind the dietary laws is the importance of being holy for the LORD! We are to sanctify and rededicate ourselves to Him. We do this by walking in His ways, which He not only instructed us to walk in, but also demonstrated to us in the person of Yeshua. He also gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us in our walk with Him.
It is very interesting that in the verses above, it is written that He is the LORD that brought Israel from out of Egypt. Why would God remind Israel about this act of redemption in connection to the dietary laws and holiness? We find the answer, actually, in the New Covenant, where a similar concept is found in 1 Peter 1:13–21:
Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all yourbehavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each man’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Messiah. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
Redemption and holiness go hand in hand! This is God’s economy in His Kingdom.
Yeshua did not redeem us in order for us to say “I am redeemed”, but rather He made us new creations, and lit the fire in our hearts so that we will live a new life in accordance to His ways. His holiness enables us to be holy, which allows us to shine His light to the world!
So, this issue isn’t really about the food in itself. It’s all about God and His holiness. I encourage you to take time to pray about this, and seek His direction in your life.

Gen 1:14-31 — Days 4-6 of creation
Mk 10:5-6 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
We have seen in the first three days of Creation how God created the heavens and the Earth, at first in a state of darkness and lack of order, and without any gap of time between the first and second verses. Then He began to speak things into existence, and made distinctions: between light and darkness, between waters and waters, between seed and seed, between kinds/species and other life in their own kind. God was forming the Earth for its unique place in His created universe, and for the unique life that He filled on it.
The Son of God came here to live and die as a sacrifice to cleanse all things on the Earth and in the heavenlies. And it is to Earth that He is returning! In God’s plan for eternal life with Him, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. Redemption has always been the cornerstone of God’s purpose for this creation, in order to create the perfect and eternal new Heavens and new Earth after He fulfills all of His purposes for the present creation. We are all called to make proper distinctions in order to choose wisely, in accord with God’s will and His purpose. This is because He loves us, and it shows that we love Him. The Kingdom of God is light, and eternal life in light. To refuse to live in God’s light is to be eternally condemned to darkness, outside of God’s presence.
v 14-19 God spoke, and created lights in the firmament/skies to divide the day from the night. These lights (light-givers) are for signs and seasons, and for days and years. The sun, moon, and stars He placed in the heavenly places to serve the Earth. They are not to be worshipped, but the Creator of them is to be worshipped. His name under Heaven is Yeshua/Jesus. (Acts 4:10-12) Israel’s calendar is luni-solar, with the moon subject to the sun, whose light she reflects, having no light of her own. (The Christian calendar is solar, the Sun/Son ruling; the Islamic calendar is lunar, rejecting the Sun of Righteousness, with healing in His wings.)
The sun is the great light that rules the day; the moon is the small light, and, with the stars, rules the night. (Ps 136:1-9) God stretched out the heavens like a curtain. (Is 40:21-22; 45:12; 51:13; Ps 104:1-2) The universe did not expand over eons of time; God placed the lights that He created in the skies that He made, and stretched them out to accomplish His will and purpose. God saw that it was good. The evening and morning – the same time-frame and period as the first one day, and before the sun and moon came into being – were a fourth day.
The extent of the universe is vast, and cannot be measured, nor its laws broken. (Jer 31:35-37; 33:14-26) This provides covenantal security for all who trust in the LORD. It is based on what Moses wrote that God said and did in Genesis 1!
Just as we saw that the third day speaks of death and resurrection in the life of plants, so here also we can see the death of Messiah in the setting of the sun, and His resurrection in its rising – darkness and light – each evening and morning.
God’s Word goes out to accomplish what He sent it for – an “expanding universe” — and it returns to Him having accomplished His will – a “contracting universe”. We even see that near the end, the heavens will roll up like a scroll! (Is 34:4; Rev 6:12-17)
In evolutionary theory, the sun came long before the Earth; but God Himself tells us that He created the Earth, and then the sun a few days afterward. There was already light before the sun; and that light is the light of God, which will be the light of the eternal City of God. Who do we believe knows the facts, and the truth of them? Interestingly, God says that these celestial lights are given for signs. Yeshua/Jesus, the uncreated Light, came into the world during the fourth 1000-year period of history; in prophetic historical time, on the fourth day, the day that God placed the sun into its place of service. (2Pt 3:8; Hos 6:1-2)
The moon’s cycles determine the times of the months, and Israel’s holidays which YHVH appointed for them are given according to the time of the lunar month, such as, the first day, the 14th day, the 10th day. A New Moon is darkened, and marks the beginning of each month (as the Creation was dark before the light). (see
The sun, moon, and stars will also display a ‘sign’, pointing to and telling us that the wrath of God is about to come against His enemies, and against the enemies of His people — Israel/the Jews, and Christians – after the great tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble, and just before the Lord returns; and He gives a final chance for all people everywhere to repent and call upon His Name to save them. (Joel 2:10-11, 30-32; Mt 24:29;Acts 2:19-21; Rev 6:12-17) The Word of God comforts believers in Jesus that we will not suffer GOD’s wrath. (Mt 3:7-12; Rom 5:9;1Thes 5:9-10)
v 20-23 From the waters, God spoke and created all kinds of water creatures/animals, and also of birds that fly in the firmament of the skies. God created teems – an abundance – of living things to glorify Him and to enjoy Him and His goodness. God also created the great sea creatures. Just as with the vegetation, each of all of these water and sky (and land) creatures are each according to its kind. No species can reproduce or become another kind.
And God saw that it was good, and He blessed them by speaking to them commandments to live by in accordance with His will and purpose: be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the land.
Notice that God did not tell them to refill/replenish, but to fill. There was no prior Creation that God judged, and now was starting over with a renewed one. (Nor is the New Covenant a renewed covenant, but a new one.)
And the evening and the morning were a fifth day.
There is scientific and archeological evidence that dinosaurs existed in human history, even cave drawings. These animals are also referred to in other passages in the Bible – in the Torah, in the Prophets, and in the Writings.
All of these creatures which God made from the waters are called “living souls/creatures/beings”, and so are the land animals (created on the sixth day) and human beings. This distinguishes all of the animals from the plants. The animals and Man (male and female) have souls, that the Creator did not give to vegetation.
v 24-25 Here God made from the earth/the dry land the animals of the ground. And it was so. Each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
The climax of these six days is the creation of man – male and female – in the image and likeness of this unique and holy Creator God. This sets man apart – distinguishes human beings – from all other created things, including animals and probably angels.
v 26-28 “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion….” The Triune God communicated together to create Man – both male and female together — to be unique and special, even as YHVH is. The whole rest of the Bible tells us what He is like, and how we are to reflect Him in our lives. We are also three-in-one as individuals — with a soul, body, and spirit. We are suited to have fellowship with God in a way that no other created thing can. When Yeshus/Jesus came as the Son of Man in flesh and blood in order to redeem us, He came as a man, and not as a monkey, nor as an angel. When He returns, He is personally again coming as the Son of Man, and not as an alien or as some singularity with AI.
God blessed them, and spoke, giving commandments to hear and do. Notice over what God gave dominion to Adam (and to Eve), and over what He did not: over the fish, birds, and every living thing that moves on the Earth, but not over other humans! (Even after the Flood, God did not give dominion to man over other humans.) We will rule with Messiah over others only during the Millennial Kingdom, after those who have part in the First Resurrection have been conformed to the image of the Son of God, which is not yet perfected even in born-again believers in our present bodies because of sin. (Rom 8:28-30; Rev 2:25-29; 20:4-6)
v 29-31 In the beginning, both man and animals were vegetarians (not vegans), by order and provision from God. And it was so. (After the Flood – a hugely significant event in human history – the moral God and Creator of the amazing human body gave all people permission to eat meat, except for the blood. (Gen 9:1-7; 2Pt 3:5-7)) “Then God saweverything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
The sixth day brought God’s creation to its finished state, on the last day. (It would appear that Yeshua created the angels on the first day, and they witnessed what the LORD said and did. (Job 38:1-7; Jn 1:1-3;Col 1:15-17; Ps 148) God’s Spirit and Word brought the order and purpose that He wanted. It was all very good, perfectly according to His will for His purpose and glory. Yeshua tells us to abide in the faith until the end. What He began He will finish, and it will all be as God has spoken, and according to His will and purpose. We look for the perfect to come, in the New Heavens and New Earth where righteousness dwells, and there will be no more sin of any kind, and God will be all in all! (1Cor 13:10; 15:20-28; 2Pt 3:11-13; Rev 21 – 22)
The main message of Genesis chapter 1 is that God – the one God who is a plural unity – is declaring to Israel, and through Israel the Church, and through us to the world as His witnesses – that He (YHVH) is the eternal and only God: He is the Creator of the heavens and the Earth, and the seas, and all that is in them. All other gods are impostors and idols. YHVH is the God of gods. He is revealing Himself – who He is, and what He has done, and will do — to His covenanted people and to all creation to know Him, and to worship Him alone. It is He (even Yeshua/Jesus) who is the God of Hosts, who made the sun, the moon, and the stars, and all things, both visible and invisible. He is the Judge, the lawgiver, the King, and our Savior. He is holy. He is good. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere present. Each thing created by God is for a purpose, and we who have been saved from our sins and sinfulness through faith in the truth of the gospel have been called back into God’s purpose to cooperate with Him through living faith and obedience, a lively hope, and love.
Creation relates to the Kingdom of God, not to us to make our kingdoms instead of and against His. (This was Lucifer’s sin, and he causes many others to follow him in this same way.) The necessity for redemption and salvation — for the cross — was already God’s plan before He created the world. The Creator and Redeemer is to be worshipped, not any created thing, nor the work of man’s hands. The seventh day Sabbath is a reminder to Israel of our Creator, and of our Redeemer and Deliverer, who created everything in six days, and rested on the seventh, and gives us rest. (Ex 20:8-11; Dt 5:12-15) The New Heavens and New Earth for eternity are for those who fear the LORD and love Jesus/Yeshua for who He is and all that He has done for us. (1Cor 2:6-12; Is 64:4; Ps 31:19; Ja 1:12)
Paganism and evolution both describe a universe where violence (evil) has always existed, even believing that the Earth and the moon came about through violent collisions with other heavenly objects. Such a worldview creates a dilemma that there will never be a solution to escape the dread of eternal existence with evil. Jesus tells us that unless He returns, no one is left alive, as everyone seeks to prove that they are the strong who survive! (Mt 24:21-22) Only those who know the Father and the Son are certain that there is indeed a solution, which the Creator Himself has spoken and done what is required.
It is a grave mistake for both Jews and Christians to add to or to take away from the Word of God, which Moses wrote, as did other writers and prophets in the Old Testament, and later apostles and other writers in the New. They all support what is written by Moses in Genesis and in the rest of the Torah. The Scriptures are all profitable for instruction, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. It is the glory of the one, true, living God to entrust His people to represent Him faithfully – in word and in deed. This is our privilege, our honor, and our responsibility. The devil is a liar and a deceiver, and he targets the elect to deceive us, if possible, into thinking that we can be like God if only we do not believe what God has said, but rather listen to the serpent. Humans know only a little, and that even in part and as through a cloudy glass. YHVH God knows all things fully. May we all be found faithful to keep His words in this adulterous and sinful generation, serving our God and Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!

The great world revival will begin from Jerusalem
Very soon the Lion of Judah will Roar over Jerusalem and over Israel with His Almighty Presence, bringing the Great Outpouring of His Holy Spirit, with Signs, Wonders, and Incredible Miracles.
For the God of Israel is coming down to Judge & Bless His people.
We are now at the door of the End Time Great World Revival!
On Wednesday June 16h, 1999 (20 years ago) while I was high in worship at Mount Zion Fellowship (then Ruth Heflin’s ministry) in the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in northern Jerusalem God suddenly showed me two quick visions in rapid succession, the second vision came only moments apart from the first.
I saw a great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit falling on many people who were gathered together in the ben Hinnom Valley and in the hills surrounding this Hinnom Valley by the Old City of Jerusalem. The general location for this great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit was the area near Jaffa Gate just below the Mount Zion Hotel!
In both visions I saw many people with their hands raised up in the air to receive the blessing of God’s Spirit falling on them from Heaven. Because these two visions came so simultaneously, and so rapidly, and I knew that this was not coming from my own mind or my own imaginations, and I believed both of these visions were really coming from God. It was like I was looking at these two visions through God’s eyes at what He sees coming. I had never thought about this Hinnom Valley before, in any way whatsoever.
The first vision was shown to me from a position of about 40 feet in the air above Mount Zion hotel, and just to its left or north of the hotel. In the second vision, given to me only moments after the first vision, I was shown this same scene, and again from about the same height in the air, but now from a very different location. It was shown to me from about 200 yards to the south east, again looking out over the ben Hinnom Valley below the Mt Zion hotel.
Judah was exiled by God to Babylon for two reasons: their sins committed in God’s Holy Temple and also their sins committed in the ben Hinnom Valley. See Jeremiah 7:31, 32; 19:2-6; 32:34. 35.
The world’s attention today is on the Temple Mount, and who will be worshipped there on Mount Zion hill. Soon the Orthodox Jews will be building their house on Mount Zion hill. But God has His attention also on the low place, the Hinnom Valley, the place of the soon coming great world Revival and great Harvest of souls.
I later found out this Hinnom Valley area was prophesied by God in the Old Testament Scriptures to be a most special place.
Jeremiah 31:40 “And the whole Valley of the dead bodies and of ashes, and all the fields as far as the Brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be Holy to the LORD! It shall not be plucked up or thrown down anymore forever.”
I believe this Valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37:1-14 is the Hinnom Valley where the whole House of Israel will again live.
Ezekiel 37:9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.’ ” 37:10 I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. 37:11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole House of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 37:13 Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 37:14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’ ” [The coming Great Aliyah and Great Harvest of souls!]
Prior, in Old Testament Jewish history it had been 70 years of exile in Babylon when the God of Israel had spoken in Zechariah 1:16, ‘Therefore thus says the LORD, “I am returning to Jerusalem with Mercy; My House shall be built in it,” says the LORD of hosts.
Today, God’s House is both those ‘born again’ believers whose body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, and the House on the hill.
It has now been 70 years since Israel received their Statehood on May 14, 1948. The 70 year ends on May 14, 2019. Will this be the time for God’s Holy Spirit to again begin moving in Israel?
God had told us that He would bring us back to His land of Israel and then He would pour out His Spirit upon us. Ezekiel 36:24, 27
You will Arise and have Mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, yes, the appointed time, has come! Psalm 102:13
“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; … but tarry in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with Power from on High.” Luke 24:49
Luke 3:16 Yochanan answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water. But One Mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and Fire!” The Baptism of the Holy Spirit & Fire is coming.
Isaiah 40:5 “The Glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
John 12:32 “And I, if I am lifted up (Crucifixion) from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save. He will Rejoice over you with Gladness, He will quiet you with His Love, He will Rejoice over you with Singing.”
Exodus 40:34, 35 Then the Cloud covered the Tabernacle of Meeting, and the Glory of the LORD filled the Tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the Tabernacle of Meeting, because the Cloud rested above it, and the Glory of the LORD filled the Tabernacle.
Numbers 14:21 “But truly, as I Live, all the earth shall be filled with the Glory of the LORD!”
2 Chronicles 5:11-14 And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place, and the Levites who were the singers … and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with (silver) trumpets, indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever,” that the House, the House of the LORD was filled with a Cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the Cloud; for the Glory of the LORD filled the House of God. (Also see 1st Kings 8:11 and 2 Chronicles 7:1-3)
Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is filled with His Glory!”
Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of Glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD, Strong and Mighty! The LORD, Mighty in battle. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of Glory! Psalm 24:7, 8, 10
Jerusalem’s Hinnom Valley is the place of coming Miracles: healings of the blind, the deaf, the dumb, the lame, and raising of the dead. Just as in Yeshua’s day, so will this be third Pentecost!
When may this Great Outpouring begin? Perhaps very soon, 2019. It will come after the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog Magog War is over, as written in Ezekiel 39:29. By then the Orthodox Jews will have gained great political power, and will be building their Temple on Mount Zion (Moriah) hill, & will also be persecuting the believers.
Ezekiel 39:25-29 “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have Mercy on the whole House of Israel; and I will be Jealous for My holy name. 39:26 after they have borne their shame, & all their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid. When I have brought them back from the peoples & gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the House of Israel,’ says the Lord GOD.”
Matthew 9:37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 9:38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 10:6 “But go rather to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. 10:7 And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.’ 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Mark 16:18 “In My name (Yeshua’s name), they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover!”
Isaiah 29:18, 19 “In that Day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 35:4-6 Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing.
God’s true Temple is His Body of ‘born again’ believers.
Amos 9:11-15 “On that Day I will raise up the Succah of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages. … that they may possess the remnant of mankind, and all the Gentiles (peoples) who are called by My name,” says the LORD who does this thing.
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed. The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel. I will plant them in their land, and they shall no longer be pulled up from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God. [Here we again see Aliyah and Great Revival!]
Joel 3:18 “It will come to pass in that Day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water. A fountain shall flow from the House of the LORD …” (See this also in Zechariah 13:1)
An estimated billion Painted Lady butterflies just invaded Israel at Purim. Is this God’s sign of the coming Great Harvest of souls?
Joel 2:28, 32 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved! [the Great Harvest!]
“The LORD will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.” Zechariah 1:17
Jerusalem, the City of the Great King needs many major transformations. This city has many different kinds of religious spirits, sins, and violations of the Word of God. And into all this religion the Living Word of Yeshua loudly speaks out, saying,
“If you do not believe that I am He (the LORD of hosts, your Savior, your Messiah, and your God), you will die in your sins!”
Yeshua’s Heart is crying out for the Salvation of His Jewish and His Arab peoples of Israel. Who will join Him in this cry for Revival to come to His city, Jerusalem, and to His nation of Israel?
John 3:16, 17, 18 “For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Everlasting Life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but He who does not believe is condemned already, because He has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to My Father except through Me!
John 17:21 “… that they all may be One, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be One (Body) in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 17:22 And the Glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are One: 17:23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made Perfect in One, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have Loved them as You have Loved Me. 17:26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the Love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places. He will make her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
Jeremiah 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah. 31:32 not according to the (Marriage) Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant which they broke though I was a Husband to them, says the LORD. 31:34 For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more!” [Also see Isaiah 53:5 and Jeremiah 33:18]
Ezekiel 36:24 “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 36:25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh & give you a heart of flesh. 36:27 I will put My Spirit within you & cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”
John 13:34,35 “A new Commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. These things I command you, that you love one another!” John 15:12, 13, 14, 17
Ephesians 3:17-19 … that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of the Messiah which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Yeshua, the Messiah, is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

Some thoughts on the internet
Let us take a moment to digest the fact that the internet recently celebrated its 30th birthday. It’s actually even more astonishing when one thinks about the fact that although it has existed for a mere 30 years, it only became widely used by the general public about 24 years ago. That’s not very long and there’s probably no other technological innovation in human history, with the possible exception of the printing press, which so dramatically transformed daily life for so many people so quickly.
The man who invented the internet, British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee, was interviewed by several media outlets on the occasion of its 30th birthday. He lamented how the thing he’d created for the purpose of making it easier for scientists to collaborate on projects which would benefit humanity has also become a tool used by many people and entities for evil rather than for good.
It reminded me of Albert Einstein’s lamentations that the research he’d done in the fields of physics and mathematics had been instrumental in the development of atomic weapons. For that matter, it could remind us of similar sentiments expressed by countless other inventors and scientists who lived to see things they’d discovered or developed because they sincerely thought that it would lead to a better situation for the human race end up being used to actually make the situation worse.
That’s because Human Nature is sinful, and no human philosophy or innovation, scientific, technological or otherwise, can solve that problem. The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers the only real solution and the internet is merely the latest in a long line of attempts by humanity to circumvent it.
I think it can be compared to the Tower of Babel episode from Genesis 11: 1-9. I also think the Internet is a fulfilment of Biblical Prophecy, specifically Daniel 12:4 which says that at the end of the Age, “many will go back and forth and knowledge will increase.” That’s certainly been true to a greater degree than it’s ever been true before for the last 30 years, sometimes for better but far more often for worse. Also, Revelation 1:7 says “every eye shall see” Jesus when He returns to this Earth at the Second Coming. He’s coming back at a very specific spot, Jerusalem, so how could people in London or New York or Buenos Aries see that event? The same way people all over the world watched the wedding of British Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last May, by live streaming on the internet. There are a few other prophecies which hint at circumstances at the End of the Age which can be explained by internet-related technology and might be difficult to explain without it.
So what is to be done?
Obviously the internet and all the associated technologies and devices that feed and are fed by it are a fact of life and using them for Kingdom purposes (e.g. Kehilah News Israel) is a good way to make the best of it. But on the other side of the equation, spending less time on social media and more time with our families, in prayer, in Bible study, in worship, in fellowship and in service to our communities is also vitally important. One of the most dangerous things about the internet is also one of the most prosaic, the simple fact that it consumes such vast amounts of our time.
Beyond that, it’s just very important to keep in mind the ways the internet affects our relationships with God and with each other. It’s also important to keep in mind that as much as our lives have changed, for better and worse, in the first 30 years of the internet’s existence, the pace and degree of change is only going to and accelerate and grow going forward.
May God give us all the strength, clarity and wisdom we need to make good decisions in this area of our lives.
