LISTEN: Interview with Eliel – Serving God after being freed from drug addiction

Today we’re in Haifa in northern Israel talking to Eliel. He came to Israel from Uzbekistan along with his Jewish mother and two brothers when he was a teenager. But settling into Israeli life proved difficult for Eliel; he started mixing with bad company and became a drug addict. When his life had spiralled out of control, his mother heard about the House of Victory in Haifa – a rehabilitation house for addicts run by believers – and it was there Eliel’s addiction was broken and he came to faith in Jesus. When we met recently, I asked Eliel to explain how his life developed after leaving the House of Victory because today he is a very different person!
